Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Execute precise artificial insemination procedures to maximize conception rates and herd reproductive efficiency.
- Detect and monitor estrus cycles with accuracy to ensure optimal timing of insemination.
- Conduct pregnancy diagnosis using ultrasound or rectal palpation, ensuring early identification of open or pregnant cows.
- Identify, treat, and manage reproductive health disorders to improve herd fertility and minimize calving intervals.
- Design and implement structured herd breeding programs aligned with genetic improvement goals.
- Maintain detailed and accurate reproductive records to track performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions.
- Enforce and uphold strict biosecurity protocols during all reproductive activities to prevent disease transmission.
- Collaborate with veterinarians, nutritionists, and farm management to optimize reproductive health and overall herd performance.
- Train and supervise farm staff in AI techniques, heat detection, safe animal handling, and biosecure practices.
- Evaluate semen quality and support sire selection to enhance herd genetics, productivity, and sustainability.
- Ensure full compliance with animal welfare regulations, industry standards, and internal operational protocols.
- Performance Indicators: KPIs will be discussed and finalized upon official commencement of employment with the company.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Reproductive Physiology, or a related field (essential).
- Certification in Artificial Insemination and Reproductive Management from a recognized training institution.
- Specialized training in pregnancy diagnosis (ultrasound and/or palpation) and reproductive health protocols (preferred).
- Proficiency in dairy herd management systems and reproductive data software Ongoing professional development in dairy reproduction, genetics, or biosecurity is highly valued.

Experience - 6–10+ years of hands-on veterinary practice in large-scale commercial dairy farms.
